Caps trade Ovechkin for 2 1st rounders!!


The Capitals GM has traded LW Alexander Ovechkin (94OV) to the Pittsburgh Penguins for C Martin Straka (77OV) and 2 1st round picks in season 2 and season 3. The trade was confirmed before the trade dealine, but took some time to get it posted on the forum.

The Caps at the beginning were looking to get alot in exchange for Ovie. But when you look at the trade, it appears they got very little. Mike, Pens GM, jumped at the chance to get Ovechkin for such a low price. There is a chance that Washington could have 2 picks in the top 5 for the next draft, but depending on how each teams does, they both could be outside the draft lottery and the trade of Ovechkin will get even worse.

Ryan Nugent-Hopkins coming to ATHL Season 2 draft


Ryan Nugent-Hopkins along with anyone else drafted in the first 2 rounds of the 2011 NHL Entry draft will go into the Season 2 draft for ATHL. This way we'll be able to improve the quality of players in the draft without having any more players ready to come on to the Pro Rosters right away.

League Realignment is confirmed for season 2!


After sending out a email to the league and reading over the responses, I'm glad to annouce that for season 2 we will have a league realignment and go to a 4 division league. Two divisions in the Clarence Conference and two in the Wales Conference.
